Private security & investigation agent licensing

All private security and investigation agents, including crowd controllers working on licensed premises, must be licensed under the Security and Investigations Agents Act 1995 and/or the Liquor Licensing Act 1997.

All licenses for security and investigation agents  and crowd controllers are issued by the Office of Consumer & Business Affairs (OCBA).

The Licensing Enforcement Branch of South Australia Police perform a number of services such as integrity checking and fingerprinting that form part of the licensing process.
