Public service careers

The South Australia Police workforce includes both Sworn and Unsworn employees. Sworn employees are governed under the Police Act and need to apply through Police Recruitment. Unsworn employees are predominantly governed under the Public Sector Management Act and Weekly Paid Conditions. They fall into a variety of streams, including Administration Services Officer, Operational Services Officer, Technical Grades Officer and Government Services Employee. We also provide employment opportunities to graduates and trainees.

All of our vacancies are advertised in the South Australia Government Notice of Vacancies and some also feature in newspapers and on www.seek.com and www.careerone.com.au websites.

When applying for a public service position with South Australia Police it is important that you obtain a copy of the Job and Person Specification and adhere to the Job Applications Guidelines.
