Pre-application information seminarsTo assist you in your preparation for selection, SAPOL offers Pre-application Information Seminars. These seminars are designed to assist you with the necessary information and advice on how to successfully prepare for SAPOL's recruit application process. Areas covered in the seminars include: - Requirements and correct submission of application forms.
- Entrance examination.
- Panel interview, including the key behavioural areas and the SPARES model.
- Physical testing, including required standards, and information on how to prepare for testing.
- Computer competencies, including Windows XP, Word 2002 and typing test.

The seminars are held at the Police Academy, Strathfield Terrace, TAPEROO, and are approximately 2 hours duration. Application requirementsIf you meet the pre-entry requirements and would like to apply to become a member of South Australia Police, then download and complete the: Return the completed forms to the Recruiting Section with the following information: - a passport size colour photograph of yourself
and copies of your: - year 12 results and Student Achievement Record
- resumé
- birth or citizenship certificate
- driver's licence
- current basic (or essential) first aid certificate (required before recruits undertake the first out phase of the Constable Development Program).
Also send a copy of any other information that could help your application. Please note - Do not include the original copy of any documents with your application, but these will need to be seen during the selection process.
- Do not place your application form or supporting documents in folders, binders or covers.
- If you do not include all the necessary documentation and information your application will be rejected or returned.
- Your personal details (name, date of birth and current address) will be published (including by electronic means) in the South Australia Police Gazette for confidential comment by serving South Australia Police employees.
- The recruiting process may take some time. You will be contacted throughout the process regarding tests and assessments.
- For applicants living in country areas or interstate the selection process may be conducted over three consecutive days.
