The Adelaide Local Service Area (LSA) covers approximately 155 Km2 and includes the areas situated in the Adelaide CBD, North Adelaide and the Eastern suburbs.

The population base of approximately 150,000 located within the local government boundaries of Adelaide City Council, Norwood/Payneham/St Peters Council, Campbelltown Council and Burnside Council is increased on a daily basis by in excess of 100,000+ additional people that visit and work in the CBD.

The Adelaide LSA has a staffing level of 419 Police Officers and 30 Administration Staff who are located in a variety of locations within the LSA (August 2005 figures).
