Prosecution Services Branch

Prosecution Services Branch (PSB) contributes to the achievement of SAPOL's Vision , Mission and Objectives by managing all functions, roles and responsibilities for the delivery of prosecution services necessary to service the criminal justice system, providing support in regard to the delivery of specialist prosecution services to Local Service Areas (LSAs); state-wide planning and systems; training, leadership and business continuity; statutory disclosure obligations and policy and advice in formulating and implementing appropriate strategies that provide the direction, performance management and accountability of the prosecution service to promote an achievement culture, which contributes to crime prevention and reduction strategies, addressing communities needs and expectations, and to keep South Australia safe.

The Officer in Charge, PSB is accountable for the leadership, command, strategic planning and management of the various PSB areas and sections in the services delivered to LSAs, Courts, and other key stakeholders within the criminal justice system.

PSB is divided into the Operations area and the Planning and Development area. Within each of those areas are the following sections:

  • Prosecution Services Coordinators (NOS/ SOS)
  • Prosecution Services Coordinator (Youth Justice)

Planning and Development Section

  • Policy and Advice Section
  • State Committal & Disclosure Section
  • State Planning & Systems Section
  • Training, Leadership & Business Continuity Section
