The Metropolitan Operations Service is responsible for the provision of high quality policing services to the community, through leadership directed at achieving our mission and vision through core functions at the local level. This is achieved through a problem solving approach when responding to calls for assistance, reassuring and protecting the community from crime and disorder.
The Metropolitan Operations Service in general covers all of the Adelaide metropolitan area.
The Service is comprised of six Local Service Areas (LSA) and the specialist support areas of Transit Services Branch and State Tactical Response Group. The LSA's are:
The Metropolitan Operations Executive is located at the Sturt Police Complex and provides support to the LSA's, Transit Services Branch and Tactical Response Group with policy, operations co-ordination, operations planning, finance, administrative planning, multicultural services and intelligence co-ordination.
